Description

Ramat Sirin Vineyard – BarberaDry red wine
The grapes originate from a single vineyard, located at a height of about 300 meters above sea level, at the foot of the wind turbines station in south Ramat Sirin. The vineyard, that overlooks Mount Tavor and Nazareth ridge on the west and the sea of Galillee and the African – Serian rift on the east, is located at one of the highest points in this region, characterized by a strong winds regimen, cold nights and temperate, dry days. The vineyard is planted on basalt, low nitrogen and rich phosphor ground, that enables balanced growth of the vines and uniform, qualitative ripening.

Variety:
100% Barbera

Appellation:
Lower Galilee – Ramat Sirin

Serving Temperature:
16 degrees

Winemaking Process:
The Barbera grapes were harvested at the end of August, during the cool night hours. After separation from the stems the grapes began the alcoholic fermentation for one week. Following a gentle pressing and malolactic fermentation, the wine was matured in French and American oak barrels for a period of up to 24 months.

Tasting Notes:
This wine is a medium body, rich and powerful wine, with a dark ruby color . The high acidity produces a concentrated and balanced wine, with soft tannins and a long finish. The wine is characterized by black cherry aromas, plums and spices such as lavender.

Best Enjoyed With:
The wine will be especially suited to drink alongside Italian cuisine based on tomatoes, grilled meats, and spicy cheeses such as gorgonzola.
