Description

The Herzog Late Harvest White Riesling is produced by the Herzog Winery in California. The wine has a medium gold color which is pretty see through. The wine has a typical late harvest aroma with lots of residual sugar and very orangy, like orange peel, orange juice, and fresh oranges. There is also a slight hint of butter or butterscotch, it’s more of a sweetness and not as like an oaky butter. The wine tastes super light and has much more sweetness in the mouth with hints of honey and a lot more orangy sweetness, but more like clementines. There is very, very little acid in the mouth. The finish is mild with not much riesling characteristics but this wine pairs perfectly with fruit based desserts or foie gras. This is a vegan wine.
